Aircon companies based in Serangoon

The 8 companies on this page have a business address inside the Serangoon planning area, matched to the URA Master Plan 2019 boundary. That is where they are registered or keep a workshop. For home servicing, most of them send technicians across the island, so a company based here is not the only option for residents and a company based elsewhere may cover Serangoon too.

The service mentioned most often on their websites is general servicing (7 of 8). The brands they name most are Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Midea, Gree. A brand mention usually means the company services that make, not that it is an authorised dealer.

Before you book

• Count your indoor units and note the brand and rough age of each. Most quotes are per unit or per package of units.
• Say which job you want: general servicing, chemical wash or overhaul. The difference in work is large.
• Ask if the outdoor unit is included and if there is a charge for ladder work or hard-to-reach condensers.
• Get the quote in writing, including any warranty on the work.

Not sure which job you need? Our servicing guide explains each one, and the near-me map sorts companies by distance from you.

Services offered by companies in Serangoon

These counts come from each company's own website. A company that doesn't mention a service may still do it, so ask.

Which job do you need?

General servicing. A general service cleans the filters, front panel and drain line so the unit keeps cooling and stops dripping.

Chemical wash. A chemical wash takes the indoor unit's coil and blower out of the grime that a normal service can't reach, without fully stripping the unit.

Chemical overhaul. An overhaul strips the indoor unit down so the coil, blower and tray can be soaked and scrubbed, and is the deepest clean on offer.

Gas top-up. A gas top-up adds refrigerant when pressure is low. A good technician checks for a leak first, because gas doesn't get used up.

Installation. Installation covers new systems and replacement units, including piping, trunking and the outdoor condenser bracket.

Repair & troubleshooting. Repair work covers units that leak water, blow warm air, trip the breaker or make new noises.

How to compare quotes in Serangoon

Ask two or three companies for a written quote on the same units and the same job. Check whether the price is per unit or per package, whether the outdoor unit and drain flushing are included, and whether there is a warranty on the work. A company based in Serangoon may be able to come sooner, but a firm based elsewhere may cover your estate on the same terms. Our guide to choosing a servicing company has a full checklist.

Getting your home ready for the visit

A few minutes of preparation makes the job quicker and tidier:

• Move furniture, beds and electronics away from under each indoor unit, or cover them.
• Make sure the technician can reach the outdoor unit. If it sits on a ledge behind a grille, find the key.
• Keep pets in another room.
• Have the remote controls ready so each unit can be tested afterwards.
• When the work is done, run each unit for a few minutes and check it cools and doesn't drip before the technician leaves.
